Prabasi invites you and your family to Saraswati Puja on February 9 at the Thoreau Elementary School in Concord, MA. The address of the venue is 29 Prairie St, Concord, MA 01742. Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge, music, arts and learning. We hope to put together a good pujo followed by a day of cultural events. This is also the day many parents initiate education of their children, known as the ‘haate khori’ – the formal beginning of reading and writing in a child’s life. If you have a child ready to begin her/his academic journey, plan on getting that started at the pujo. We will have the arrangements. The event is FREE for paid 2019 Prabasi members. For non-members we request a donation of $20 per person (age 12 and above) and $35 for a family (parents and children under 12). Tickets will be available at the gate (or possibly on-line). We do, however, need you to let us know latest by February 2 with RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org . This will help us make better estimate for food. There will be prasad as well as lunch and dinner for the event included in the price. Finally, If you want to help out with the pujo or you are interested to bring your child for ‘haate-khori’, please contact Susmita Ghosh (email@example.com) or Bibrata Deb (firstname.lastname@example.org). Also, if you and/or your child are interested to perform at the event, please contact Pubali Banerjee (email@example.com) or Sameer Chakrabarty (firstname.lastname@example.org). We sincerely hope that you will join us for a whole day of festivities including puja, anjali, haate khori, food, and great cultural programs.
