Obituary – Deepak Deb

With a heavy heart we announce that Deepak Deb passed away on June 23rd morning at his own residence in Shrewsbury, MA. He was an active member of the Bengali diaspora in the New England area and a patron of our broader community. A renowned thespian, his penchant for Drama has been a source of encouragement for many local talents. As a philanthropist and a visionary who tirelessly worked for the well-being of the people, he will always remain alive in our hearts. He had been a member of Prabasi of New England for decades and had served in our Executive Committee for years. He was extremely popular on stage as an emcee, actor, director for many Prabasi cultural events.

Our sincere condolences to his wife, Krishna Deb, son Sayon Deb, daughter-in-law Kerry Flett and to the rest of his family.
