Durga Puja 2020 – Rules and Guidelines

Due to COVID situation, CDC and local health guidelines:

  • Please DON’T come for the in person Durga Puja celebration, if you or anyone in your immediate family are sick, waiting on a COVID test results, in quarantine, have COVID/flu symptoms or have been in close contact with another person with a COVID diagnosis.
  • Everyone (including members and sponsors) must pre-register and book a preferred time slot for Debi Darshan, anjali and prasad well in advance. Pre-registration would be available till October 15th 9pm.
  • Please provide a correct email address(if you are paying with paypal for membership/puja package/sponsor application, we request you to use the same email address for pre-registration).
  • Please note, without a pre-booked and approved slot, we may not be able to accomodate a request for Debi Darshan at the Puja venue.
  • Patrons are requested to only register for their immediate family (Self, spouse and kids). Slot requests for friends and/or extended families would unfortunately be against state guidelines and would not be accepted.
  • For non-members or non-sponsors Patrons, please ensure to pay your puja package(paypal/check both are accepted) within 24 hours of your pre-registration, to hold your reservations.
  • Please arrive 10 minutes before your chosen time and wait in your car.
  • 5 minutes before your slot, please arrive at our marked entrance. At all time, for yours and other patrons’ safety, please maintain a 6′ distance from other visitors.
  • Each group will have 50 minutes time slots to enter, enjoy pura, offer anjali, get their prasad and exit the temple.
  • Everyone would be required to show the email proof of their registration at the gate.
  • Everyone including kids above the age of 2 years(as per CDC guidelines) would be required to wear their mask and practice “social distancing”, during their entire visit. Anyone not following this would be required to leave the puja site.
  • Puja prasads would be available in prepackaged containers and would be distributed outside puja venue. Please note, no consumption of food would be permitted inside the temple.
  • Prabasi of New England reserves the right to reject a previously accepted slot reservation requests.
