Obituary – Anjali Hazra, Newton, MA

Anjali Hazra of Newton, Massachusetts passed away on May 22, 2019 succumbing to lung cancer. Please come to the commemoration at 1:45 pm to be held at Newton Cemetery (https://www.newcemcorp.org/) on Friday May 24 with the ceremony starting at 2 pm. It is located at 791 Walnut Street, Newton, 02459 just behind the Newton Public Library.

Anjali was born in Kolkata and studied in Patiala Medical College. She married Deleep Hazra in 1960 and arrived 3 years later in Montreal Canada then moving to Boston in 1980. She had 2 children, Sharmila and Sanjoy and one granddaughter Tuleeka. Anjali Hazra attended Puja for nearly the last 40 years in the Boston area starting from that little Knights of Columbus hall in Watertown. She enjoyed continuing the traditions of Bengal that we participated in from the time of youth. We wish to remember Anjali with the care, compassion, fortitude, and sacrifice she showed to us and continue in the love and blessings she had for you all.
